Loan recovery performance

A very strong and streamlined recovery program is at ARTH. A Credit Officer visits the villages and host meeting of all JLGs in a village jointly. He/she participates in the meeting on weekly basis on fixed time of the predecided day of week. Weekly installments are collected in the meeting.

Moreover the management of ARTH understands that there is a major risk of accounts going bad. As a result, the management has come out with a model of financing to individuals through Joint Liability Groups (JLG). This ensures that if an individual loses his repayment capacity, the same can be made good from the other members of the JLG. It is worth noting that as a result of such model, the timely repayment has been received to the tune of 99.99%. Also because of the generally accepted practice and rule to insure the life of the borrower for the adequate amount, in case the borrower dies or becomes incapacitated, Insurance Company pays the entire Loan Outstanding Amount to the Company.

HENCE DUE TO JOINT LIABILITY GROUP CONCEPT ADOPTED BY THE COMPANY AND COMPANY BEING THE NOMINEE OF THE BORROWER, LOAN LOSSES FOR MICRO FINANCING INSTITUTES HAVE BEEN TRADITIONALLY NEAR TO ZERO.
